My background has provided me with a wealth of experience in the jewelry industry and outside it. I served in the U.S. Army for four years, then worked in the construction industry for ten years. I was drawn to jewelry because it is "making things with artistry". I entered a four year Jewelry apprenticeship. During that time, I studied under several craftsman, notably Blaine Lewis and Alan Revere. In addition I did multiple other understudies for specific skills.
I was a goldsmith at Images Fine Jewelry for ten years, then took a hiatus to become a railroad conductor for a year and a half. However, I missed the art of jewelry and wanted to return; so quit the railroad to return to jewelry.
I wanted to join the Van Horne staff because of its reputation for excellence, and was thrilled to become a member of their team. I enjoy being back in my trade. Van Horne Jewelers is a great place because of its atmosphere and the excellent employees. I pride myself on the small details that make each piece of jewelry unique and special, because I love satisfying the dreams of customers.
